About Us

1958- Leonard M. Pavlic graduates from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.
1959- Leonard begins his internship under John Yoney at Yoney Funeral Home, in Canonsburg Pa.
1963- Opening of Leonard M. Pavlic Funeral Home in Bentleyville.
1977- Leonard purchases Slezak Funeral Home in Charleroi. Becomes Leonard M. Pavlic Funeral Home Inc.
1982- JoAnn Pavlic (daughter of Leonard) graduates from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Begins her internship under her father.
1984- JoAnn becomes a licensed funeral director and is the supervisor of the Charleroi location.
1988- Leonard M. Pavlic passes away at the age of 54. JoAnn takes over the business.
2015- JoAnn's son Marc J. Zmijowski graduates from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and is the recipient of the Memorial Award & the William J. Musmanno Memorial Award. After graduation Marc begins his internship under his mother.
2016- Marc becomes the 3rd generation funeral director in the family and now serves at both the Charleroi and Bentleyville locations.
