Marlene Black

Marlene Black 78 of Fallowfield Twp., passed away on Thursday April 24, 2025 at Grandview Estates in Elizabeth. Born in N. Charleroi on April 30, 1946, a daughter of Donald and Marilyn Wilson Gray. 

Marlene was a member of the Charleroi Belgian Club and numerous card clubs. She enjoyed spending her time at Wheeling Island Casino and the Meadows Racetrack and Casino. 

Marlene is survived by her son Kenneth Black Jr. of Fallowfield Twp. with whom she made her home, a daughter and son-in-law Tracy and Nicholas Chapasko of Fallowfield Twp., 2 grandchildren; Dr. Nicholas Chapasko and Nadia Chapasko, a sister Donna Taylor of Monessen and a sister-in-law Linda Gray of Speers, several nieces and nephews and her loving cat Peanuts. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Black in 2014, a brother Gary Gray and sister Thelma June Diaz. 

The family would like to thank Jeanette Swaney and her staff at Grandview Estates and Jessica and Melanie of OSPTA Hospice. 

There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to Charleroi Area School District towards “Stuff the Bus” and mailed to Thomas Nutting 705 11th St., Charleroi, PA 15022.
