Josephine Cipriani

Josephine Cipriani 94 of Speers passed away on Sunday May 5, 2024 at her home. Born in New Kensington on September 15, 1929, a daughter of Samuel and Laura Monack Cipriani.

Josephine received her Bachelor's degree from California Teacher's College. She taught for several years at the Charleroi and Belle Vernon area school districts, at St. Sebastian Catholic School Belle Vernon and a substitute teacher at the former Mary, Mother of the Church Catholic School in Charleroi.

She enjoyed gardening, reading health books, playing the lottery and spending Sunday afternoons with her 2 sisters at the Meadows. Josephine's great love was children, and for all the children she taught, especially her special child that grew to be a great friend, Theresa Ornot Beistel.

Josephine is survived by her sisters; Connie and Mary Cipriani of Speers. She was preceded in death by her brothers; Louis and Albert Cipriani.

Visitation and blessing service will be private. Interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery Carroll Twp.
