Joseph Paul Suhan

Joseph Paul Suhan, 97 of Charleroi, died January 4, 2017 at Thorpe's Personal Care, Charleroi. Born in Charleroi on February 2, 1919 a son of Michael and Mary Shipkovsky Suhan. Mr. Suhan was a retired Postal Carrier and a WWII US Army Air Force veteran with the rank of Staff Sgt. . A member of Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi, the Center in the Woods, California University Senior Swim Club, the American Legion Post #22 Charleroi and the Golden Agers. Surviving are 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph Paul (Nadine) Suhan of Aspinwall, James (Pamela) Suhan of Perrysburg, OH, John (Nancy) Suhan of Lemont, PA, 1 daughter and son-in-law Joanne Paula (Donald) Reho of Star Junction, and one sister Irene Hlavacik of N. Charleroi.  10 grandchildren Sarah, Danny, David, Michael, Emma, Chloe, Jennifer, Heather, Patrick, and Christopher. 2 Great grandchildren, Gabriel and Gavin.  Preceded in death by his wife Muriel V. Morrow Suhan in 2005, 2 sisters, Mary Matyas and Veronica Matyas and an infant brother, Michael. Visitation will be held on Friday January 6, 2017 from 5pm-7pm in the Leonard M. Pavlic Funeral Homes, Inc. 235 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday January 7, 2017 at 10:30 am at Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi with Rev. Gerald Mikonis as celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Chaleroi. Military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post #22 Charleroi.
