Gertrude Blasko

Gertrude Blasko 93 formerly of Fallowfield Township, died Friday August 11, 2017 at Monongahela Valley Hospital.

Born in Monessen on March 25, 1924, she was the daughter of John and Anna Sabol Meluck. Gertrude was the youngest of 13 children. She was a  member of Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi and the National Slovak Society. She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law; Steven and Nancy Blasko of Sound Beach, NY, and Allan and Mary Lou Blasko of Scott Twp, and 2 step grandchildren. Bill and Kerin Auth and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Steven Blasko on June 10, 1999 and her 12 siblings; 3 brothers and 9 sisters.

Visitation will be held in the Leonard M. Pavlic Funeral Homes, Inc. 235 Fallowfield Ave., Charleori on Tuesday August 15, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday August 16 at 10:00am at Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi with Rev. Gerald Mikonis as celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Monessen.
