Dorothy Mitchell Farkas

Dorothy Mitchell Farkas 81 of Charleroi, died Wednesday October 25, 2017 at her home. Born September 23, 1936 in Belle Vernon, a daughter of Roy and Mae Oliphant Mitchell. Dorothy was Presbyterian by faith. She was retired from Monongahela Valley Hospital where she worked for numerous years in the gift shop.

She is survived by her daughter Cindy Farkas Sims, 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Lewis and Kathleen Farkas and Kirk and Caryl Farkas all of Charleroi, 3 grandchildren, Gavin, Skylar and Dawson Farkas; a brother and sister-in-law Don and Judy Mitchell of Fairhope and Joseph and Esther Colella of Tennessee, Dorthy's niece and husband whom she cherished and loved as her own. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Lewis E. Farkas and 11 siblings.

Visitation will be held on Friday October 27, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Leonard M Pavlic Funeral Homes, Inc. 235 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, where funeral services will be held on Saturday October 28 at 10:00am with Rev. Candace Cook. Interment will follow at Charleroi Cemetery.
